Isaquias Queiroz has become the first Brazilian to win three medals in the same Olympic Games.
Brazil's canoeist Isaquias Queiroz has become the first Brazilian to win three medals in the same Olympic Games. Alongside Erlon Silva, he won silver at the men's double 1,000m canoe sprint final today (Aug. 20).
The Brazilian pair led throughout the race but were overtaken at the final stretch by 's Sebastian Brendel and Jan Vandrey.
On Thursday (18), 22-year-old Queiroz won a bronze medal in the 200m canoe sprint, and earlier this week, he won silver in the 1,000m individual sprint.
